Every day we have an Alim. Alim is when a group of people go and sit with teacher and learn our times tables. We do it well the rest of the class are doing rotations that miss Thompson set for them they have to do handwriting drawing and boggle. Boggle is when miss Thompson puts random letters on the board and you have to find about 15 words. when the class is doing there rotations the Alim group go with the teacher and they have to have the times tables miss writes in the book.
Welcome to Tui Whānau. We are a year 6 and 7 class at Kaingaroa School. Our teacher is Mrs Broadwith.

Our Matariki art
I.A.L.T upload my learning tasks and write about them.
last week we did Matariki art first. My favourite part of doing the art was doing it by my friends and it was fun.
Step 1. We had to get a 2 pieces of paper with the star on the front.
Step 2. Then we had to get a plan piece of paper.
Step 3. After that we had to trace the paper with the star on to the plan piece of paper.
Step 4. once we traced the star we got to draw some designs inside the star .
Step 5. when you finish the designing you can colour it in.
Step . After you can cut the stars out.
Step 7. Then you glue it on a black piece of paper and cut it out.
Here's a photo of my Matariki art.

kiwi can
I .A.L.T write about my learning from kiwican
This morning we went to kiwican and learnt about integrity. Integrity is to always do the right thing, even when no one is looking. To remember this meaning, we learnt a catch phrase that went like this:
Right is right, even when no one is doing it.
Wrong is wrong, even when everyone is doing it.
To try and show integrity we played terminator tag and band-aide tag. We also played a game where we had to listen to a statement and run to the side of the room (good or bad) that we thought suited us the most.
What was your favourite part?
My favourite part was playing terminator tag because we got to run around and tag each other.
What did you find challenging?
I found playing the good or bad game challenging because we had to think of why it was good or bad.
What did you learn?
I learnt what integrity means and how to show it.
Have you played terminator tag?
